Our landscape is our wine. Rooted in granitic rock and slate stone, shaped by the Pacific Ocean and the Humboldt Current, our vineyards absorb a cool and singular climate. All of that - the geology, the ocean cold, the natural acidity - flows into the glass. Reading the landscape, cultivating and caring for it, and expressing it without filters: that's what we do.
Winemaking is not improvised. It's built through time, learning, shared experience, and a way of working. There are no shortcuts. Itata gives us almost 500 years of tradition. A tradition that doesn't evolve stagnates. Our mission is to write our page in this book: earning it through hard work, through ideas that respect our roots but forge a new path.
Solo work has its rewards. But teamwork takes you where you never dreamed. Seeking agreements, yielding, leaving ego for the common good, listening to be heard. When that team is your family, and everyone grows together, the reward can be unimaginable! We are a family of six living in the Cobquecura vineyard. The winery is our dining room. Long afternoons around a table full of friends, toasts, laughter, emotions. For me, that's what wine is: a moment of connection we need, that makes us better as people, as a family, and I believe, as a society.
3 wine series, each with its own well-defined purpose: A Los Viñateros Bravos, Erazo Vineyards and SOS. Organic viticulture, spontaneous fermentations and minimal intervention in the winery to bring each landscape to the glass.
Our commitment is to recover and protect Itata's native forest, its flora and fauna. 10 hectares of cultivation allows us to care for and regenerate 50 hectares of forest. It's our reason for being: to improve our territories and landscapes, the places where we live and grow.
We're passionate about good olive oil. With that idea we began searching for rocky soils seeking intensity and concentration. And so far we're achieving it!
Sharing is living — we always tell our children. Our Pudú Refuge is a place to share how we live the land, how we make wine, how we protect the forest, and how to spend time in a nature setting.
